My cousin Kong Xiong is probably one of the funniest and most humble guys I know. He’s the type that can fill a room with laughter from a single joke; this guy has literally left me in tears from laughing so much.

I’ve tried multiple times to write out more information about this, but the description that Kong’s wife wrote on the Facebook Fundraiser page is probably better than anything I could’ve wrote. From the page:

Back in August of 2015, he was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease – End State Renal Disease. Basically, his kidneys are no longer able to filter his blood of toxins, and he needs dialysis treatment 3 times a week to live a somewhat normal life. Currently, dialysis is his lifeline. However, each dialysis treatment takes a toll on his body, so we need to get him a kidney transplant as soon as possible.

The best option for him is to get a kidney transplant. As we plan for kidney transplant, the cost of the kidney transplant is extremely expensive. As far as we know, insurance only covers a portion of the expenses, and the rest is out-of-pocket. The anti-rejection drugs after the kidney transplant are extremely expensive as well. The donations gathered through this fundraiser will go to his medical bills.

Therefore, we ask our family and friends, and anyone with a kind and giving heart, to help donate for his kidney transplant. Any gift, no matter how large or small, is greatly appreciated. We will forever be grateful for your donation. Even a word of encouragement or support is greatly appreciated as well. His disease has caused him to lose a lot of self-confidence within himself.

We ask that if you come across this fundraiser campaign, please at the very least, share his story so we can reach as many people as possible.

Thank you for your support. Have a very blessed day.

(sorry, we are brand new to this so we forgot to add this info. if you’d rather donate though Paypal, it’s “xiong_kong@yahoo.com” or Venmo is “xiong_kong@yahoo.com” or “kingkongxiong”.)

Please join us in helping to provide some financial assistance as Kong plans for his operation and medical bills. Here is the link to the fundraising page:
