I’ll spare you some time and not write a detailed article about how I went through the popular classification of iris. But to prove it:
I know it’s not a big deal, but to me it is. I took the time to learn each line of code, what it was doing, the who’s, the other what’s and why’s. Why am I doing it you ask? Because I’ve had a huge sudden interest in machine learning and I need to scratch that itch.
For most of my career, I’ve developed the ETL pipelines to get data somewhere. I’ve recently been dealing a lot with visualizations and trying to develop a story of the data. Now, I want to take it a step farther and try to see if I can help do something with those insights. But in order to do that, I need to do a deep dive into machine learning.
I just imagine how cool it would be to prove to someone that we should do something and see it out. Regardless if it was a good idea or not, I think it’s the journey that is the most exciting part. Learning and implementing something new has always been fun and fulfilling for me. And maybe I’ll even get the chance to know enough to help teach someone a thing or two.
Anyway, just thought I’d drop a line here about what I think I may dive into. The opportunities are endless in the machine learning sphere. Wish me luck!
